Yashu is popularly known for her character of Kirti in the Hindi tv serial, Paramavatar Shri Krishna, where she portrayed the role of Radha’s mother Kirti. Her beautiful acting of a caring,. affectionate mother won the hearts of the audience and quickly made her popular. However, her career began long ago, when she appeared in the music video “Chann”, a Punjabi song by Harjeet Harman, which was released back in 2013. Her television debut was with the tv serial Suhani Si Ek Ladki, a show that aired on Star Plus. Unfortunately, her parts in the show were pretty secondary which did not help her gain much focus.

In 2018, she was casted for the lead role in the Punjabi movie, Rose : Ek Ajeeb Kahaani by Narinder Mahajan, and in the same year, she bagged the role of Sultana Mehrunisa, the character of Yasmeen’s mother for the show, Aladdin : Naam Toh Suna Hoga. Once again, she wowed the audience with her acting skills.
Apart from all these movies and tv shows, she has also appeared in a number of ad films.
